Several years ago while make bows for my daughter and online customers I found that I had a HUGE pile of scrap ribbon. Pieces of ribbons that I hated to part with. Nothing was "trash" to me. LOLL Some of the ribbons I had were not even in stores anymore. Hmmm so I thought.. there has to be a way to make use of all of these "scraps". I went looking online in search of all the bow styles out there. Thinking there was someway I could make a bow of my own. Something different, something new. I saw this one bow where the ribbon ran across the clip in a row of loops. From there my mind went running. How could I make a bow bigger and fuller using all the scraps that I had. Then one night after trying several ribbons, clips, thread and scraps... the FUNKY LOOPY BOW was created. I have been making these for years now and started selling the instructions online a few years back.

We are aware many photos on your website that were taken directly from our site. My logo "DoodlesBowtique" is in MOST of the pictures. We are also aware that you are selling our copyrighted hair bow tutorials as your own. You have plagarised them and are reselling them which is in direct violation of American and Mexican copyright laws. Our instructions are written by us, they show photos of US in them depicting each and every step.

We are demanding that you immediately remove these photos from your MercadoLibre.com listings, and any other advertisement materials, both electronic or printed materials, and that you do not process any orders placed for items you have been misrepresenting as your original creations and photographs.

We invest a lot of energy and time creating our unique designs, editing our photos, choosing page layouts and maintaining our website. We respect other individuals that are attempting to run their businesses online, and we demand the same respect in return. We are very committed to protecting our business and will take whatever means necessary to ensure that our hard work is not misappropriated in the marketplace.

Therefore, we expect and hope that you will comply and will immediately remove all images and likenesses from your My Space pages, and any other websites or printed materials, within the next three (3) days. Today was a hot but beautiful day! Everyday that the Lord has made....is beautiful! A friend of mine named Anna (RoseyThreads) made my daughter this super cute dress. We loved it soooo much that I made a bow to match and had my daughter model the bow for you all. You can also see this sweet dress in the photos. I decided to make this gorgeous bow a FREE one. As I was making it my thoughts were on Jesus and just how giving He is. That He IS LOVE and He is free for all who accept him. Jesus paid the price for each of us. Here is our new member of the family. This is Spidey. Our Crested Gecko. These animal are so much fun. Being allergic to everything and having asthma I am limited on what animals I can have. This guy/girl fit right in. (I think it is a girl) After lots of research I picked this breed of gecko. Many more pictures in the years to come. :O)

New new new everywhere!! It is that time of the year when I start thinking of new and creative ideas. I ask myself..... What do I want to do NEW and exciting?! This year I have decided I am going to add some boutique hats to my collection. These are perfect for anytime of the year and so much fun. Birthdays? Holiday outfits? Disney vacation? Anytime is a GREAT time to order a boutique hat. Here is one my daughter is modeling. :O)

If I could just have a few minutes with the super famous Tony Romo.... I have to say Mr. Romo you are a disappointment to the very loyal fans of the Dallas Cowboys. While sitting week after week and watching you play sloppy football I have to wonder sir do you have someone paying you to lose? My hopes soar through the air each week only to be over thrown and or intercepted. Excuses have been made for you Mr. Romo for the last few years. We blamed the girl. We blamed T.O. now sir we are left to blame no one but you. Can the play calling be better? Yes it can, but somewhere in all of that you have to complete passes. You have to throw the ball the YOUR players and not the opposing team. Where is your head this year Romo? I am out of excuses to make for you. You are left alone passing the ball much like a high school player. Your best move would be to convince Jessica to come back to you and making sure that T.O. can forgive the owners of the Cowboys and come back. I sir can not afford a ticket to see you play in the new stadium but if you can make a turn around be sure to mail me a ticket to be front and center with my family at my side as we cheer on what we have prayed for..... GOOD FOOTBALL!!!!! Come on Romo!!!! You have fans out here young and old ready for you to make the decision to play some REAL ball.

My son told me that the ONLY way he would take picture this year with the characters is if we did autographs. UGH I thought to myself. The years before we buy those books you get from Disney that are located in every store there. This time I wanted something fun and different as I knew I would be scrap booking this trip and the ones before. So I can up with this idea... out of the box but yet something that I could see myself using years AFTER our trip. The characters would sign the tags and I could use them in my scrapbook with pictures of the kiddos around the signature. Below is what I came up with. The back is also all done up but I forget to get a picture of the back.
LOLL Some scrapbook material, mod podge, clip board, rings, stickers, and some work and this is the end result. I think I will sell them?!? It was a blast to make.

Woven Headbands and TinkerBell

The main thing I love about these woven headbands are that you can wear these for years. My daughter who is 8 loves wearing these and I have a wonderful friend/customer who buys these for her 2 year old granddaughter. If you have other bows or clippies you would like to clip on to the headband you can. All you have to do is clip on and off anything that suits your fancy. :O) SO many different creative ways to enjoy woven headbands. I listed a few of these at my etsy store. Happy to introduce....

We are happy to introduce our last furbabie for now. ;o) His name is Yoshie. We are in love!! He was a bit shy when we first got him. A HUGE cry baby and shook like a leaf. A few days and lots of love and kisses and we knew he was going to be part of our family for the rest of his life. Oh and another DoodlesBowtique model. ;o) YES just beacause he is a BOY he seems to love modeling our pooch bows. hehe Ok maybe not LOVE but he sure seems to smile for the camera. Here are a few pictures of our Valentine's day weekend. We were having fun in the yard with the new babies. What a better Valentine's could a gal ask for? The man of her dreams, her beautiful children, and Christ as our rock.

While outside feeling the chill in the air I saw something that caught my eye. I have always been a bird watcher. Love to listen to them "talk" and have come to enjoy watching them interact with each other. Here is a woodpecker. I got some pretty good pictures of him. I am learning about my new camera and hope to be able to get some more clear ones soon. Anyways enjoy these ;o) I know I am!

New Family Member

We would like to welcome BOWSER to our family. ;o) He is a poodle. At nine weeks of age he is 3 lbs. 4oz. He is one of two who we are getting. Our other little sweet guy will not be ready for us to pick up until Feb. Here are some pics of our new guy! He is super duper sweet and loves the kiddos so much. This weekend has been filled with lots of kisses with that puppy breath.

Well I have had several emails asking me what do I plan to do when this new law goes in to place. I wished I could answer you with a straight answer but I can not. :O( As of now come Feb. 10th I will not be able to sell my hair accessories to children under the age of 12. The new law is making it so that we have to have all of our handmade things lead tested. EVEN though our products that we use to make our designs are already tested, they are saying we must test them 3rd party. This is VERY expensive and not something people can just pay for. SO what now?? Buy buy buy! LOLL All of the accessories I have for sale on ebay, etsy, and my online store will not be in stock as of Feb.10th. If I sell I could be fined. We are trying to get this law changed! I will post any website and or information to you all that you can write to. I need help as do so many other designers to have your voice heard! To save handmade items! So please ladies stock up on those accessories that you are wanting before Feb. 10th. PLEASE I ask that all of you who are NOT on my mailing list PLEASE do so. This will be the BEST way to keep everyone posted. At the bottom of this page you will see a place to sign up.

Our Tree

Here is our Christmas tree?? This is our 2nd year to buy a real tree. Oh it smells so so good. There is nothing like having a new hand picked tree each year. This has become a family tradition we hope to carry on and on for many years to come. All my husband and I do is set the tree up and wrap the lights. The kiddos pick where the ornaments go. They are 7 and 4. ;o) The only thing missing on this tree were the candy canes we put on tonight. I did not get an updated picture so after you see our tree below... close your eyes and picture those yummy candy canes all over it. :)
